When should we come? Thailand has three seasons: Cool, Hot/Dry and Rainy. It is always warm or hot and when it does rain, even in the Rainy season, it tends to be a down pour or storm that clears quickly. For example, during the last Rainy season, our guests were out on excursions every day and we didn't get wet once! Apart from the weather, Thailand has special holidays to consider that involve spectacular activities to watch and take part in. The most interactive of these is the Thai New Year celebrations of Songkran. Between April 13th and 15th, it is custom to throw water at anybody that crosses your path - a welcome event at the height of the Hot/Dry season. The highlight of the Cool season is Loy Kratong, which falls on the full moon in November. It is a time to pay respects to the river and involves fireworks, huge paper hot-air balloons, and the making and floating of a 'kratong' offering. Whenever you choose to come, Thailand is open and will provide you with the holiday of a lifetime. |
